Terry is a native of the Northwest but now resides in British Columbia and paints wildlife and landscapes of North America. Terry paints predominately in acrylics and strives to capture not only the characteristics of his subjects, but also the light that surrounds them. He takes a great deal of care to depict both his subjects and their habitats with accuracy. This class will paint a songbird in a setting that will include composition information. David will return from Calgary to review drawing and painting basics while also teaching his method for applying washes over opaque layers to create realistic images. Attention will be given to choosing the best composition, creating depth. and the use of light in you apintings. Learning is further facilitated be live demos, slide shows and critiques of student work. You'll need bring your own wildlife reference material. The better quality the material the better your painting will be.
